  • Declawed: No
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hey there. I'm Jackie and I'm about 3 years old. I was rescued from a farm in Perry County. The rescue ladies say somebody must really be missing me because I certainly don't act like an outside kitty.

I was rescued last year and I'm still waiting for my forever home. And I have no clue why? I really think I would be a great addition to any family. I'm a very loving girl. I very much enjoy the company of people - especially children! I really love kids and would just be in heaven if I had a family of my own with lots of kids! My foster mommy laughs because every time I'm around children I start to roll around and purr. She tells everyone I show off more for kids than adults.

Anyways...I'm also a very playful girl. I love to run around my foster home. Sometimes I pretend I'm going to pounce on my foster mommy, or even the other foster kitties. But I never do because I know it's bad manners. I would love a forever home with lots of kitty toys for me. I wouldn't even mind a home with another kitty as a playmate. It just takes me a little while to get used to them. I also get along with dogs. Oh, and I love jumping up on the cat trees and dressers and especially the window sills. Though, my foster mommy does get upset when I get on top of the refrigerator. She says thats bad manners and too dangerous for a kitty.

Many people who have met me or asked about me are really concerned about my eye. Maybe that's why I'm still waiting for my forever family? Please don't be scared about it. My eye doesn't hurt me at all. It doesn't even bother me. Sometimes I don't even remember I have a problem. My foster mommy doesn't even give me any medicine for it or treat me any different than the other kitties here. I didn't mean to get sick before and I didn't mean to make my eye like it is. But maybe someone can look past that? My foster mommy said that I just have to wait for a nice family to give me a chance so they can see how great I am. She says someone just has to look past my eye and see that I'm more special than anyone else simply because of who I am.

If you have extra space in your family for one more, please consider me. And if you have children that would love to have an affectionate, playful cat to call their own, that's even better!

The adoption donation for Jackie is $65.00

(Jackie's eye was damaged after receiving no medical attention during a bout with conjunctivitis. She was recently under veterinary care and has no ill effect other than cosmetic. The veterinarian believes she does still have some vision with her affected eye. Please understand, this affects Jackie in no ill way, and her foster family have never had to treat her any different than any of the other cats they have fostered!)
