Eva and Ada are sisters who are being fostered in Lancaster, PA.  They are only available to be adopted by families within PA who are willing to come to Lancaster to meet them.  They have been treated with flea and worm preventatives and have had their first vaccines.  They will be spayed through our program when they are around 4 months old.  They were born on April 19, 2014.

Oh boy do these girlies have a tale to tell!!

Eva and Ada were born to a feral outside mama kitty.  Their mother is part of a small feral colony of about 9 kitties.  She was the last one that we were trying to get caught and spayed.  Mama kitty gave birth to her kittens underneath a neighbor's shed, unfortunately, she chose the ONLY neighbor on the block who disliked the cats and had ill intentions towards them.  As soon as the neighbor found out that mama had chosen to give birth under his shed, he poured cement over the entrance to mama's den!  With mama and babies inside!

Police and animal cruelty officers were involved, and we were able to convince him to unblock the hole within a few hours of him covering it.  We tried to reach the babies underneath the shed, but they were too far under and we couldn't find them.  The animal cruelty officer was able to help us convince him to leave the hole uncovered for 5 weeks, to give mama a chance to move the kittens or for the kittens to come out.  We checked the den frequently to make sure he did as he promised.

As soon as the 5 week period was up, he shoved cement blocks into the hole to keep the cats out.  Mama was not able to get into the den to nurse her babies, forcing the 6 week olds to squeeze past the blocks to nurse!

We were so relieved to see that two babies had survived their ordeal!  The next morning mama brought them over to her caretakers house and we were able to catch them a few days later.  Mama was caught and spayed, and her babies are safe and sound in foster care!

Eva is a black and white tuxedo girl with a black spotted nose.  She is sweet and lovey, but can be a little shy with new people.  She loves to be held and petted!  She is playful and loves to eat!  She likes canned food and kitty treats!  She loves to follow her sister around and is never far from her side!

Ada is a black and white spotted girl kitten, we call it a cow pattern!  She is so cute!  Ada has a very goofy, silly personality and is super sweet. She is outgoing and affectionate.  She loves to play, play, play!  Her favorite thing to do is wrestle with her sister.  They roll and tumble and bounce around wrestling together!

These two sisters are very active and playful.  They are very fun kittens and make a great pair.  They love each other and must be adopted together!  They have been through a lot together and we don't want to split them up!

They are very petite and are small for their age.  They are very delicate and might not be the best kittens for very young children who wouldn't be gentle with them.  They are great with other cats, good with dogs, and would be an entertaining pair for older kids!  Please fill out an adoption application and pre-adoption questionnaire at kittycolony.com and we can arrange for you to meet them!

The adoption fee for Eva and Ada is $160.
