Lady Maeva is being fostered in Lancaster, PA.  She is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and has been treated with flea and worm preventatives.

Lady is a quiet girl who needs a loving home.  She came to us from a trailer park where the community cats were being poisened by some of the people living there.  Lady was very pregnant when she was rescued and gave birth two weeks after we got her.  She had 6 healthy bundles of love and even adopted an orphaned kitten and has loved it like her own. 

Maeva is fantastic with other cats and could be adopted with a kitten, or she would make a fine only cat.  We think she would be fine with a dog that doesn't pester her. 

Lady Maeva would do best in a one or two person home.  She is very shy and needs one person to bond with.  She is VERY loving with her foster mom.  She loves to be petted and likes to lay on the bed in the evenings and have one-on-one time with her foster mom.  She can be afraid of strangers, but does warm up eventually. It is possible she has been mistreated and that is why she is so timid.  She loves food and treats!

All Maeva's kittens have been adopted, but she LOVES babies and could be adopted with any kitten from our rescue.

From her foster mom - "Maeva is really sweet.  She has the cutest silent purr.  She is a little shy and hesitant at first, and I have gained her trust at last and she is so wonderful!! She loves to be petted on her head and have her chin scratched.  She likes having her belly rubbed once in a while.  She loves to be brushed!  She tends to get mats in her hair easily so it is a very good thing she likes to be brushed!  Maeva is a well behaved, easy-going cat who just needs someone to be patient with her and love her.  She sleeps on the bed with me almost every night!"

Lady Maeva is available for our Foster-to-Adopt program.  This involves a 2-4 week trial period to see if she will adjust to the new home.  If she is not working out her foster family is very willing to accept her back until a better fitting forever home is found.

Lady is about 6-8 years old.  Her adoption fee is $50.
