He would come for his supper, but he wouldn't let us get too close -
but all that changed one dark night when he took a walk down the driveway...
Rocky was hit by a car and broke his jaw, diaphram and a couple of ribs - we found him just barely alive underneath a neighbor's car - and quickly rushed him to the emergency vet clinic.
He was x-rayed and carefully treated there, then transferred to Manheim Pike Veterinary Hospital, where Dr. Rovner expertly fixed him up. He had to be spoon fed for a week or so, at the hospital and then at home - before he slowly regained strength and was able to eat on his own. His first meal was a yummy can of tuna on my bed.
As the months passed he became friends with his cousin Fluffers and they romped and played on that bed.
And now though he still plays and romps around on my bed, and as much as I want to keep him,
I feel he is ready for a real home ...
...a forever home where he can be cuddled and loved, cherished and spoiled rotten :)
